JUST SAY 'NO'

This tutorial aims to equip you with the skills to help people who believe in the supernatural and miracles realize that magic1 is no longer necessary to explain our existence.

Some people believe they are superior to you because of their connection with a supernatural being. This mystical being speaks to them inside their heads, guiding their thoughts, telling them what to think, do, and say. And, they also possess unique magical abilities that enable them to know things we cannot. As a result, they are judgmental, overly confident that they are correct, and can do anything since whatever they do is for the sake of their supreme being. These are the worst of men, as their religion permits them to commit inhuman atrocities against other human beings.

The first step is to focus on the magical elements in theistic doctrine. Do not attack the concept of god or creator; instead, debate the magic. Effective messaging allows you to speak from a position of strength rather than weakness. Our goal is to make a message grounded in reality, the de facto explanation of our existence.

Clergy teach parishioners that prayer gives them access to the supernatural. Worshippers believe faith protects them and that supernatural forces will intervene to save them in hazardous situations. Prayer can obstruct their natural survival instincts and instill a naïve mindset that lulls them into a false sense of security when caution and vigilance are necessary. I see them walk blindly, oblivious to the life-threatening conditions surrounding them. They take unnecessary risks that put themselves and others in danger. Faith is a conduit for the supernatural, and "the supernatural" belongs to the realm of magic, and faith in magic is not real.

We must save them from themselves. We need to awaken believers to reality. We must wean them off magic and teach them to "Just Say No." We must help them realize that "the supernatural" is superstition. Below are steps you can take to help those addicted to magic.

"'Faith' is the keyword that allows otherwise intelligent, rational, level-headed people to believe in complete nonsense."

Tell them, "It's not real."

Before implementing any plan, I strongly recommend that you first read "Believe." This step is crucial. After reading "Believe," set up an intervention. Talk to your theist friends. When they use words like "the supernatural, miracles, faith," or anything related, tell them, "I am not superstitious. I do not believe in magic, and magic is not real." Be consistent. Be persistent. No matter what words they use, stick to the script; this is essential. The term "magic" is key. Your goal is to help them understand that, regardless of the ideological vocabulary they use, the mechanism they rely on to manipulate reality is magic. You want to lower their lofty language to "magic" because when it's called "magic," even theists won't believe magic is real. So, only use the word "magic" to describe any theist supernatural fantasy.

Use the lessons you have learned from “Believe.” Recite “Believe” word for word if necessary to make your point. Ideally, they will quickly realize that they do not believe in magic, and the debate ends.

Stay focused on your mission to help those who believe in magic. Eventually, you will need to present an alternative explanation to complete the process. A stronger theory is your most powerful tool. Epiphany is a message based on facts that do not require your belief to be effective. Use it to your advantage. Show them Epiphany and let it speak for itself. Remember, your goal is to guide your friends from an illusory belief to a rational perspective.

Always take the high road. Be respectful and compassionate as you explain to religious people that magic is not real.
