JUST SAY 'NO'

This tutorial aims to give you the skills to help people who believe in "the supernatural" and "miracles" realize that magic1 is no longer necessary to explain our existence.

Some people believe they are better than you because of their link to a supernatural being. This supernatural being speaks to them inside their heads, telling them what to think, say, and do. And they possess unique magical abilities that allow them to know things we don't. Therefore, they are judgmental, believe they are correct, and can do anything since whatever they do is for the sake of their supreme being. These are the worst of men, as their religion permits them to commit inhuman atrocities against other human beings.

The first step is to focus on the magical elements in theistic doctrine. Do not attack the concept of god or creator; instead, debate the magic. Superior messaging allows you to work from a position of strength rather than weakness. Our goal is to make a message based on reality, the de facto explanation of our existence.

Clergy teaches parishioners that prayer gives them access to the supernatural. Worshipers believe faith protects them and that supernatural forces will intervene to save them in hazardous situations. Prayer obstructs their natural survival instincts, gives them a naïve mindset, and lulls them into a false sense of security in cases where precaution and vigilance are necessary. I see them walk blindly, oblivious to the life-threatening conditions surrounding them. They take unnecessary risks that endanger themselves and others. Faith is a conduit for the supernatural, and "the supernatural" belongs to the realm of magic, and faith in magic is not real.

We must save them from themselves. We need to awaken believers into reality. We must wean them off magic and teach them to "Just Say No." We must help them realize that "the supernatural" is superstition. Below are steps you can take to help those addicted to magic.

"'Faith' is the magic word that allows otherwise intelligent, rational, level-headed people to believe in complete nonsense."

Tell them, "It's not real."

Before implementing any plan, I strongly suggest that you first read "Believe."This is crucial. After you read "Believe," set up an intervention. Talk to your theist friends. When they use words like "the supernatural, miracles, faith," or anything related, tell them, "I am not superstitious. I do not believe in magic, and magic is not real." Be consistent. Be persistent. No matter what words they use, stick to the script; this is imperative. The term "magic" is vital. Your goal is to help them understand that regardless of the ideological vocabulary they employ, the mechanism they depend upon to manipulate reality is magic. You want to demote their lofty lingo to "magic" because when it's called "magic," not even theists believe magic is real. So only use the word "magic" to characterize any theist fantasy.

Always refer them to "Believe," if they refuse to go, bring "Believe" to them. Recite "Believe" word for word if you have to; use whatever paragraphs and sentences as necessary to convey your point. Ideally, they will quickly realize that they do not believe in magic, and the debate is over.

Stay focused on your mission to help those who believe in magic. Eventually, you will need to offer an alternate explanation to complete the process. A superior theory is your most potent weapon. Epiphany is a message based on facts that do not require your belief to be effective. Use it to your advantage. Show them Epiphany and let it speak for itself. Remember, your goal is to transition your friends from an illusory belief to a rational perspective.

Always take the high road. Be respectful and compassionate as you teach religious people that magic is not real.
